With the world going virtual you see more and more online courses popping up all the time. Online courses are the perfect learning tool for the modern learner as they allow people to learn exactly what they want on their own time!
It may be considered an “out of the box” business move but as a 7-figure course creation specialist, I’ve helped many businesses in areas such as psychology, holistic nutrition, meditation, spirituality, coaching, and more, develop online courses and have great success with it!
Here are some signs that creating an online course may be a good next step for your business!
The most obvious sign that creating an online course would be a good move for your business is that you have people asking you to teach them about what you do!
Even if that isn’t the case, if you have an in-demand skill set, you may want to capitalize on that and teach those who want to learn!
You might not think you have anything special to bring to the online learning space but you may be wrong. It may seem intimidating to jump into a market that seems so saturated, but there are many ways to create an online course that stands out.

If you want to establish authority in an area, what better way to do that than to teach others?
Having an online course will build trust and gain the respect of your current and potential audience and establish you as an expert in your niche.
There are only a certain number of hours in each week that we can dedicate to helping clients. But by creating an online course, you can help an unlimited number of people with the recordings and training from your course!
Furthermore, there are people who aren’t interested in 1:1 coaching or services. Some people simply want to learn a new skill! You can reach a whole new audience by offering a new product like an online course.
As previously stated, there are only so many hours a week that you can work – and that can become a challenge when you want to scale your business.
You may have hit client capacity, or may be close to it, and want to continue scaling your business even further. With an online course, you get to continue helping others while scaling your business, without having to work insane hours!
If you find that your business income fluctuates month to month, adding an online course may be a good way to diversify your business’ income sources.
As is the case with diversification, you spread your risk and you’re not as reliant on another area of your business for income.
Although there are lots of benefits to launching your own online course, it comes with plenty of things to think about. From content to a teaching platform, there is a lot to figure out, but if you come into this new venture prepared, it can be successful. Luckily, there is lots of support out there for business owners ready to break into the online learning space!
Do you think an online course is a good fit for your business? Not sure where to get started? I can help you find the perfect teaching platform and develop a great online course (curriculum + tech setup) for your business!
